C15s on the Costa Blanca.

Have you seen any out and about?

C15s on the Costa Blanca.

Postby crossa » Mon Jun 06, 2011 10:10 pm

We have recently returned from our holiday home in Villajoyosa, a lovely Spanish town on the Costa Blanca. There are still lots of C15s in use here (and in many other parts of Spain as well).
There is an equal mix of vans, window vans and combis. The combis are the Spanish equivalent of the French C15 mixte. They are the forerunner of the Berlingo Multispace. They are all working vehicles and as such are in various states of repair.
The photos were taken on a stroll in and around the town.

There are also a couple of photos of a disused boat winding winch which has a double chevron winding wheel (even though it was made in Gateshead!!!).

The red 2CV, also photographed in Villajoyosa, is one of several very nice 2CVs to be seen locally, as there is a very large 2CV restoration specialist at El Campello, about 5 miles south of Villajoyosa. The storage yard must have over 200 2CVs ,dyanes , meharis, amis, and vans --- A-Series heaven!!!

...I'm in contact at the moment with an ex-pat living in middle France who is looking for a combi (5 seater) - not many for sale in France it would seem, should I be telling him to look in Spain :?:
