I really liked it to but had to resist, as I just can’t cope with any more project cars.

...I must admit £510 is better than I expected considering what has to be done. :D

Well after wondering about what happened to Jon's GT, I couldn't resist dropped him a line to see what the outcome was:
Hi! Yes, it went to a very keen restorer guy. He was an RAC recovery chap and had a covered facility to store and work on the cars so It'll definitely be back on the road again soon. I was lucky enough to acquire a new radiator for the GT too, and that was pretty much the only mechanical issue with the car so he got everything he needed. He was also a capable sprayer which was my real stumbling block. A respray was £4000 and obviously that was far beyond the car's worth so it would have never been more than a 'runner' with me.

I passed on the forum details but no doubt it'll either be at the shows or listed for sale in restored condition at some point.

Have a good year!

regards
Jon

That certainly sounds promising doesn't it! The only thing is that it'll be a shame that he'll sell it on, and with Visa prices not being that high I'd expect that he'd struggle - it depends what it comes out like though at the end of the day. :D There's quite a few new members that haven't posted since the sale of the GT - if you're the new owner, please get in touch! :D
