I find the same problem in Germany. No statistics available for free any more. The national car register used to offer free PDF downloads on their website. No more.

I had always hoped that the magazines specialized in collection cars would present the numbers. But instead they publish the same price charts every month. Boring! Why not add another column and show how many of each car are left. That would make the "price tags" even more interesting.

Ok, it doesn't break it down by model or take account of ones hidden in barns, etc, but the MOT data gives an idea of how many are working enough to get to an MOT station. This data is for 2007 - not sure if they've released anything newer yet.

...thanks "B" I never realised that sort of data was available, where can I access it please :?: I also have my own records from 2007 and if I add in the 18 that are either not MOTed but on SORN and or those I think are not MOTed or SORN declared to your 99 plus the 16 storage finds between 2007 - 2010 we get a rough figure of 133 in 2007. In 2007 I'm sure there were a few more than that - but that's the first constructive set of figures I've seen for some while :!: :!: :!:

Are we double counting? Do the represeted "Test Failures" become "Test Passes"?

The info can be found here which basically means it's pretty well hidden so unless you knew it was there you'd be pretty unlikely to find it. Also it would appear they haven't released the post 2007 data yet (they are supposed to be going to at some point).

It's a pdf so not easy to do analysis of but interesting as it includes reasons for failure - for the Visa brakes, lighting & suspension were by far the major reasons for failure - interestingly, body & structure (ie rust) being very few. This suggests to me that all the ones that are going to dissolve have pretty much already done it and the ones left are being looked after a bit better.

I've also got a version converted to a spreadsheet which I've uploaded to http://www.sendspace.com/file/692xey. The pdf is probably easier to read but for analysis the spreadsheet is better I find.

Enjoy.

...thanks Biggles, much appreciated, what is also very interesting are the LNA figures for 2007 - 9 passes and 3 failures - mmmmmmmmmmmm not as many as I thought. :? :? Also there are the petrol C15E figures of 19 passes and 23 failures - more than I expected.

Finland we have 147 Visas on the road, but exact list costs and have to be ordered. That 147 does not include project cars and so on. So my two Visas are not included that number....and there are lots of others that are still alive....but not running on the roads
