Long Gone C15

Postby Six-cylinder » Sun Jan 01, 2012 9:46 am

Back in 1887 sorry 1987 when I was a boy I worked for a Citroën dealer and had a lovely brand new Citroën BX 16RS as my company car/demonstrator. I was restoring a 1968 Triumph Vitesse and needs to fetch and carry quite a bit of stuff. We had a C15D van in the dealership, which was unallocated to a driver so I started using it and jolly fine it was too. One day our Managing Director happened to look in it and found I was using it as a mobile workshop full of stuff and I was given the lecture about company demonstrators needing to been clean and tidy at all times. Fortunately my direct boss simple said I was not allowed to leave stuff in it and could continue to use it, as he would prefer me to put stuff in the C15 rather than my BX. Well it gave me a chance to learn the product as well!

Untill a few days ago I did not know I has any photos of it. Shame it’s long gone now last heard of in 1995.

It's nice to see one when new looking so clean with no faded sign writting.
I always thought that the red strips and decals looked good on the white van.
