Soft Tops and Summer

Postby Mikee » Thu Dec 02, 2010 1:46 pm

As a cure for all this snow - we need to think of soft tops and summer :D - so in the beginning it started with:

Image ...1: the LN Bertin-Chollet Cabrio.

Image Image ...2: the LNA Bertin-Chollet Cabrio and 3: the LNA Sovra Cabrio.

Image Image ...onto the Visa 4: shows Cabrio prototype and 5: the red standard for the UK and mainland Europe.

Image Image ...6: silver standard for the UK and mainland Europe and 7: the white standard for mainland Europe only.

Image Image ...8 & 9: brown standard for mainland Europe only with and without matching hood apparently sold mainly to the German market.

Image Image ...onto non standard or non special order colours with 10: a very nice cream and 11: the Citroën favorite Jaune Mimosa.

Image Image ...and 12: a Super E Cabrio with Chrono trim plus hubs and 13: a GT Cabrio in Aus.

Image Image ...and 14: a good looking Chrono Cabrio and lastly 15: an 11RE Cabrio in silver and blue plus GTi headlights.

Image Image ...lastly the Axel which I cant find details of the standard colours for, 16 & 17: show the prototype.

Image Image ...and 18: one that definitely looks very much in everyday use and to finish 19: a very smart blue one.

Good antidote to this terrible weather. I can only dream of the smell of freshly cut grass.

On the basis of the front view only (imagining the rest), this has to be the winner for me:

I think the hub cabs/wheels go with the overall design too (from what I can see) whilst the 'go faster' trim is subtle in a bold sort of way.

I find this one, somewhat endearing and reminds me of a battered Peugeot my pen-friend's¹ father used to drive:

¹Pen-friend - now that's showing my age a bit

...I have one other pic of the car - second from the right:

...the owner is a member of this forum so we may get more photos - how about it Leigh :?:

...I know what you mean - when I found it on the net I remember saying :o YES :o as it portrays exactly what my "minds eye" impression of suburban Romania is like (most likely totally wrong of course) - old, a bit tatty, no front bumper and on a damp day with no hood. :D

...my preference being an old fashioned guy, even though it's not standard is this baby:
