Love the close-up of the Axel dashboard- a tantalising glimpse of brown plastic that is both a bit horrid, yet utterly marvellous at the same time :? :)

And who couldn't love a load of pig-nosed Visas in a row :D

...I was lucky enough to be part of that line up in 2008 - 3 German, 1 Dutch and 1 English. :o

I like the fact that the webber carbs and ram pipes are almost the length of the engine :o
but the noise that side draft carbs make is music to my ears, watch any early rally footage and you will see what i mean, you can hear the bark of the carbs long before the car comes into view 8-)

A nice selection of photos Mike. Sometimes picking up on the detail is as good, or even better, than the 'whole picture'.

...I know that sound Gary, I first heard it at EuroCitro in 2003 when this Trophee joined the Visa line up at the show:

...2003 was the Visa's 25th anniversary and it's owner had apparently towed the car from close to the Swiss/Italian to be part of the Visa Chrono Club de France display. Although this engine and carb set up appears to be different to that of the thumbnails (not many Trophee's are the same), the sound of the car driving the 750m from the camping area to the Visa site on top of the hill was exactly that throaty sound. Everybody stopped for just a moment to take it in the sound, five minutes later it appeared and the questions were answered. I've never seen any photos again of this car in competition, which is a pity. :o
