I used to buy Shell petrol nearly all the time until they put the price up by 1p a litre when that new Fuelsave petrol was introduced. Then I got an Asda (supermarket) credit card that gets me 1p off each litre with them, so used that ever since.
However, since a new Sainsbury's opened nearby I have been buying their super unleaded quite often. I *think* the car runs from cold better on super than on regular (it can be a bit lumpy on regular). The engine came from a 2CV, so has 8.5:1 pistons. Can a higher octane petrol really make such a noticeable difference, or am I imagining it?!
The Visa won't need any petrol for quite a while, but I think that is supposed to run on super?
Anyhow, what juice does you use in your car(s) and why, and do you use big brands or cheapo supermarket?
